Holden Watercolors

Holden Village provided a dramatic source of inspiration for my watercolor painting from 1997 until I left in 2006. My greatest watercolor challenges over the decade were twofold:

To portray the mountains as big as they seemed in person, and to depict  the relationship of humans to this remote environment.

  1. Beautiful watercolors, Kristen. My husband and I are staying at NCI for several nights and get to see two of your Holden Village watercolors every day. Your silk collection is also breathtaking! Your gift is sacred.

  2. Kristen, Yesterday I returned from a wonderful week at Holden. Our pastor,
and husband helped to take one of the people who came to Holden as a
forrunner to begin in the clean up. Would you have a print of Holden
that I could purchase for her? There are only a few left in the bookstore.
