Come play with me sacred realm of divine color! Let’s pay close attention to our paints, paper and brushes, to our hand movements as we paint. July 11th – 17th, 2016, Grunewald Guild, Plain WA, “Silk Painting: Color in the Wild”
Silk painting is a fun and easily learned process that can be as simple or as intricate as you care to make it. This is a class for all ranges of students; from bare beginners to the most advanced. Our materials are silk dye, gutta and wax resists, and silk. We’ll study color combinations in nature surrounding us, and use some simple drawing techniques to pull us into a mindset of prayerful, meditative observation of nature to inspire our creations. All experience levels welcome.
Oct 04, 2013 – Oct 06, 2013, North Cascades Institute “Reflections of Fall: Journaling in the North Cascades”
Let’s capture the well-earned glory of autumn in the North Cascades with our journals, watercolors, pens and pencils. We’ll travel by van to high passes, russet groves and mountain meadows in search of landscapes cloaked in fall colors, with a pallet of watercolors selected for the season, and enjoy the comfort of North Cascades Learning Center in the evenings.
